Student Council Fundraisers

The Ross Elementary Student Council has decided to raise money for  the March of Dimes, the North Hills community, and the Make-A-Wish foundation this year.

1st Annual Ross Elementary Trophy Naming Contest — October 3-7

The Ross Elementary Student Council will be presenting a trophy after each fundraiser to the winning homeroom. The students will have the opportunity to decorate it however they choose. Our first order of business is to give the trophy a name. Cost is $0.25 per entry. Place as many entries as you like. The name must be TWO WORDS in length. The student with the winning entry will have their name engraved on the trophy.

March of Dimes Time — October 17-28

What time is it? It’s MARCH OF DIMES TIME! Each classroom will be given a pumpkin to collect as many dimes (and only dimes) as they can during the course of the week. All proceeds benefit the March of Dimes. The winning classroom will claim the coveted Ross Elementary holiday trophy.

Turkey Decorating Contest — November 2-18

The turkeys have returned! You may not remember this fundraiser, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. Take home your turkey, decorate it with your family, cut it out, and return it along with $1.00 to the Ross Elementary lobby by November 18. The lobby will be filled with beautiful turkeys. For $0.25, you can buy a raffle ticket and cast your vote for the turkey you like the best. The owner of the turkey that receives the most votes will receive a gift certificate, and the winner’s homeroom will claim the Ross Elementary holiday trophy.

Make-A-Wish and Pamela’s Raffle — December 1-2

Four lucky winners will accompany the Ross Elementary Student Council to present the check to Make-A-Wish on the radio on Friday, December 16, at 10:30 a.m. Will you be one of those lucky winners? Well, tickets are only $0.25 each. Buy as many as you like. After the radio broadcast on Wish 99.7 FM, we will head to Pamela’s for breakfast. Get your raffle tickets now!

Teacher May I Week — December 5-9

Would it really be the holidays without this Ross Elementary Classic? Each day during the week, your child’s homeroom teacher will choose an activity for the class to do. No homework passes? Healthy snacks in class? These are just a few of our favorites. You’ll have to wait and see. The classroom raising the most money will claim the Ross Elementary holiday trophy.

Holiday Snowman Decorating Contest— December 12-20

The Turkeys have competition. Here come the HOLIDAY SNOWMEN! Take home your snowman and decorate it with your family. Bring the decorated snowman back to Ross Elementary by Tuesday, December 20, along with $1.00, to enter the contest. Please remember to write your name and homeroom number on the back. The snowmen will be displayed throughout the school, and students may vote on them in the morning. Each vote is only $0.25. The owner of the snowman receiving the most votes will receive a gift certificate, and the winner’s homeroom will claim the Ross Elementary holiday trophy.
