2017-2018 PTO Volunteer Opportunities

Welcome to Ross Elementary!

We are excited for the 2017–2018 school year and have a lot of wonderful events and volunteer opportunities planned.

The PTO is the Parent Teacher Organization. Everyone is automatically a member of the PTO by virtue of having a child at Ross.  The PTO supports our teachers, students and school family in a variety of ways. We work from the start of the year with the Back to School Social to the end of the year Field Day, from big events like Holiday Shoppe and Open House, to daily activities like Helping Hands and library volunteers and many other activities in between. The PTO sponsors field trip busses for all 600 students, Author’s Day, teacher appreciation events, assemblies, yearbooks, recess games and outdoor items, teacher appreciation luncheons, family movie night, book bingo, clubs, and much more!

But we aren’t a PTO without YOU, the parents.

In order to stay up-to-date with our community, I recommend you “like” Ross Elementary PTO on Facebook and bookmark our website RossPTO.netAttached is a preliminary volunteer sign-up form. Kindly complete the form and place it in the box located outside the auditorium following completion of the program tonight. We appreciate any level of volunteering.

The Ross PTO works to stretch every dollar that we receive to ensure that our funds go to support the students at the school and promote the best possible educational environment.  However, fundraising continues to be a challenge for us.  In order to continue to provide the current level of PTO activities we must raise $75 per student, more for 6th graders.  Tax deductible donations are always accepted in lieu of fundraising participation.

General meetings for the 2017-2018 school year will be held at 6:30pm on the dates listed below.  Meetings are held in the Ross Elementary School Cafeteria.
